‘Twas Two Days Before Christmas

‘Twas two days before Christmas and all through the place,

Not a person was smiling … not even a trace.

Work had been scarce, the competition was brutal,

We’d almost closed down … kit and caboodle,

We had pondered out loud, just what was the matter,

We missed the shop’s noise, the clank and the clatter.

Then what to our wondering eyes did appear,

But a long lost customer, with a bid for next year.

Dropping plans on the desk, he said to our sorrow,

“Work all night if you must, I need your price by tomorrow!”

Wake Jake! Get Sam! Sharpen pencils for Amy!

Call Syd!  Page Zach!  Order tacos for Jamie!

We went right to work, started coffee abrewing,

And wondered out loud, “What the heck are we doing?”

The job was soon figured, every window, every door,

We’d bid it at cost, and not one penny more.

And if by fate, the job goes to some other,

As sure as reindeer can fly, there’s always another.

So now straight from my heart, let me say with good cheer,

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a GREAT year.

I hope you don’t mind a little silliness at this time of year. This is my last blog for 2012 and given all that is going on in the world these days, I just thought a little something light-hearted might be okay. I truly hope that your holidays create wonderful memories from time spent with family and friends. Your support and encouragement has meant a great deal to me this past year … my first full year of blogging … and I want you to know how appreciative I am for every minute you might spend reading these things.

I had been wondering if your hosting is OK? Not that I’m complaining, but sluggish loading instances times will very frequently affect your placement in google and could damage your high-quality score if advertising and marketing with Adwords.
